Kyle and Geoff met as a part of a film group that intended on collaborating on projects. The group disbanded quickly but the two kept in contact and shortly thereafter decided to forge ahead and make their own films.
After purchasing a camera and audio equipment, they have filmed in and around Toronto for the past two years. In that time they completed a no budget feature film, Sujet, that was played at 6 international film festivals. The creative process was a labour of love and the two were able to perfect their guerilla shooting style while working fast and cheap. It was an amazing learning experience that they have put to good use with upcoming projects.
The film Presence,developed rapidly after Sujet and initial shooting began in mid 2013. The film will be constructed as a fusion or hybrid documentary-fiction. The kernel planted in their minds was the contentious situation with the Pickering Airport Lands including the destruction of the homes of hundreds of residents as the federal government of Canada pushes forward with their plan to build a new airport on the best farmland still remaining in Canada.
Kyle and Geoff hope to continue creating projects and meeting other artists to collaborate with and share their love of film.
